Practice Volleyball right on your phone or tablet!
Visualize the game of Volleyball like never before. With VolleySim, you can practice reading the setter and hitter to learn where to be on the court right from your phone or tablet. Take the court with you wherever you are and get in some extra ball touches.
“The premiere skill is the ability to see and read the game.”
- Hugh McCutcheon, USA Women’s Olympic Coach, 2008 Olympics.
What is VolleySim?
VolleySim is a virtual training product for Volleyball Players and Coaches in order to visualize specific decision making aspects of the game of volleyball. Our top priority is to ensure the accuracy of a training simulation to empower motivated athletes the ability to train no matter where they are. VolleySim will train athletes to reach their potential and increase their level of play. Many players want extra practices, more coaching, and more help to improve, but at a point, the body must rest. VolleySim is designed to allow those athletes who crave more knowledge and more practice a way to practice reading the game, anytime, anywhere.
What is reading the game?
Reading the game is the ability for you to see what is happening with the other team in terms of both court position and body position in order to anticipate a most likely course of action. This anticipation will allow you to move yourself and your body in the correct position prior to the ball even starting to move to your side of the court.
“Learn to anticipate, read the before and at contact actions, and remember the flow and tendencies under stress of opponents....and do it at the right place and time, the better we all will be.”
–John Kessel (USA Volleyball’s Director of Sport Development, coaching since 1971 at the collegiate level or above, including Women’s U.S. Open titles in 1986 & 87. A sought after international lecturer, he has conducted 1-2 week seminars in all 50 states, and in over 30 Nations; In 1995, Volleyball Magazine’s special Centennial issue named him one of the 50 most important people in the sport in the past 100 years.)
